Bio The path that led her to this point
In the early days - and before SAWInteriors opened - I was studying at the Institute of Interior Design. I completed my Diploma in Interior Design, Certificate in Kitchen and Bathroom and Home Staging and Styling while working full-time (not within the industry). I worked as a colour consultant/designer in Queensland.
The SCollection is a label that is growing slowly day by day. It has 10 fragrant natural soy candles with seasonal limited edition collections adding that something special for the daring romantic or bohemian inspired candle addicts out there!
We hand pour each candle in our studio. We use, and will continue to use, the best resources and materials we can find in the Australian market, from Ecosoya Natural Wax to 100% cotton wicks and heavily tested fragrance oils made in Australia.
I have always had a creative flair; I was given a "starter" candle kit one year for that sat lonely in the garage for many months.
We were completely in over our heads with colours, dye chips, fragrances, wax (which was everywhere), the bits and pieces you need to make that humble candle we all love.
We had candles in all sorts of colours, some that had no scent throw at all and some that just did not look like the ones we have now! Looking back, we laugh and can't believe we did that and can't believe how far we have come!
There are so many wonderful people behind the collection that brought it to life which I am forever grateful.
